When a tourist enters the US, is their information kept in the Computer?

I’m from the UK and I visited California last year, I had my fingerprints and picture taken, I’m going back to California next year for another vacation, my second time in the US, will the immigration officer see that I’ve been to the US before? I just find it really interesting for some reason lol.
Assume they know everything.

Yes, absolutely. The date you departed will be there too. If you failed to turn your I-94 in as you left the US then the computer will show you as never having left the USA. You’ll have to prove that you left on time to the CPB Officer at the port of entry.

They track when you come and go. If you leave in proper order then it is just data in a big database. If you overstay then it means you might not be allowed back in

From the minute you book your ticket you are tracked
