What do these stats mean for a website visitor tracker?

Written on March 8, 2010. Written by admin.

I just added a website visitor tracker to my website and am confused on how to read the information. There are different categories of information for each IP address. What does each category mean?
-hits
-files
-kBytes
-visits

please help!

Hits is how many times they have landed on your website total, all hits count even in the same session.

Files is the pages that the visitor went to

kBytes is the amount of data or bandwidth they have used in kilobytes

Visits is the amount of times the user went to your websites having a referral link that is not of your own.

Read more from the visitor information category. If you would like to leave a comment, click here: 1 Comment. or stay up to date with this post via RSS, or you can Trackback from your site.
